Swollen ankles and legs after birth
Dear GynaeDoc
I delivered a 4kg baby last Tuesday - I retained a lot of water during the third trimester in my ankles but this looks reallyreally bad.
i was also hypertensive during the pregnancy and have been put on Aldamet just to ensure no further hikes in BP.
Is this swelling normal in after-birth - will it go away or should i be concerned ?
What about the dark pigmentation on my neck and back - will that go away soon too ?

The swelling should go away. The pigmentation may not, though it usually fades a bit.
