TOO MANY SCANS?
Just wondering - one shouldn't go for X-Rays while pregnant, but aren't scans and ultra sounds almost the same thing. Is going for scans and ultra sounds on a regular basis safe, or can there be negative effects, could going for too many scans affect ones baby?
X-rays are completely different to ultrasound. The one uses X-rays, the other sound beams. There have been plenty of studies on the safety of ultrasound in pregnancy and the only effect seems to an increase in left handed ness in women who have had a scan.
