Weight gain in pregnancy is not only related to the weight of the baby, but alos the placenta, amniotic fluid, increased muscle in the uterus, etc. You can expect to lose about 10 kg in the few weeks after the birth. The rest is stored fat and will take longer to lose. All you can do is stick to a diet and exercise program. The averge weight gain in pregnancy should be about 12 kg.

Best wishes
