Yellow Fever Vacination while TTC
I have to go to Nigeria on Business at the end of the month. I am ttc, my ovulation period has just passed so I would not know if I am pregnant or not. Would it be harmful if I go for the yellow fever vacination ? Would it effect my ttc in any way? and if I am pregnant would it effect my baby ?

The vaccination will not affect your trying to conceive.
Robert E, et al. reported on women who had received yellow fever vaccine (YFV) during early pregnancy. Of 58 pregnancies with completed follow-up five ended in voluntary abortions, seven in spontaneous abortion, and 46 births. Three newborns had minor anomalies and two had major defects (ureteral stenosis and triphalangeal hallux)

Women who must travel to areas where the risk of yellow fever is high should be vaccinated. However if a travel requirement is the only reason for vaccination, then efforts should be made to obtain a waiver letter from the traveler’s physician
