Broken bones still havent healed
My partner broke his wrist in a dirtbike accident about 9 months ago. About two weeks ago his bones only started growing together. He had an emergency operation after immediately after the accident where they inserted pins and another 3 months later to remove the pins. He has been taking calcium tablets for about a month. Is it normal for bones to take 8 and a half months to grow on or is this unhealthy? His doctor is concerned but does nothing about it. Please help. He is in a lot of pain
Dear Teddy
Depending on the severity of the fracture it could influence the length of the healing process. As long as it has started healing it should be OK. Calcium is a good idea too.
