milk and high protien diet
hello! Is milk bad for you? i can't seem to get a straight answer to this simple (or not so simple) question. We have been told by everone to drink milk for strong bones. But now it seem that milk is one of the leading causes of bad bones!! high protien diets and milk consumption causes asteoporosis ? Is there a straight answer?

Milk is certainly not bad for you unless you have lactose intolerance, in which case you can take yoghurt and fermented milk products.
Th International Osteoporosis Foundation published a position statement regarding the use of milk and milk products and it is accepted worldwide that dairy products are the cheapest, most effectiv way of ensuring an adequate daily intake of calcium.
Yes, too much protein (cheese, meat et.) can make you lose calcium in the urine and so can be bad for your bones.
Milk and milk products are valuable and usually well tolerated sources of natural calcium which can help to prevent osteoporosis. So, please drink your milk!
