Painful knees

I used to jog and had to stop because my knees were starting to become painful. And when I stopped the pain vanished. I resorted to cycling hoping they will be fine, cycling made them more painful than jogging did. The other problem I am experiencing is muscle pulls on calf muscles if I cycle for more than 20min. I have decided stiop cycling till the pain fades away completely and go back to jogging. Do u think it is a good idea. I am a 30 yr old woman, no children. I weigh 62.4 and want to go down to 55kg. What do u think my problem is? This is really frustrating me so much because I can't stay without excersing cos once i do I am going to put on weight, something I am trying to avoid with all my heart

I hope all this dieting you're doing is done in a responsible, healthy way! You don't sound overweight, but if you really want to lose weight, join a support group like Weight Watchers etc.
Regarding the exercise- Why don't you consult a bio-kineticist who can work out the best exercise program for you.
You can always start with brisk walking- still the best exercise. Always make sure you wear good shoes. Swimming is also an excellent exercise to burn kilojoules. I do suggest that you consult an expert(biokeneticist) who can see and evaluate your needs. I think you may be trying to do too much at once.
