Hi
I been felling this pain in my joints( wrists, kness, shoulder, hips ,foot ) for a week now .The pain comes and go`s especielly when it cold. I went to consult my GP last week He gave some pills and told me i have arthritis.
My mum has it also ....what is the cause and what should use for the pain ?
my GP told if the pain does not stop He`ll have take some blood tests.

Dear Themba
If it is osteo-arthritis (normal wear and tear changes of the joints as we age), there are no specific causes, although spotsmen and women tend to suffer more because of the strain on the joints.
Non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs like Voltaren, Brufen, Indocid etc should help fro this discomfort.
I agree that you should go back to your doctor if the pain persists for longer than a few weeks.
