difference
Hi, please can you tell me if there is a difference between family responsibility leave (in other words if a child is sick and one has to take a child to the doctor etc) and compassionate leave (that is when a close family member dies)? Or do they fall under the same umbrella but just different terms?
Thanks

RE: DIFFERENCE
There is a difference between family responsibility leave and compasionate leave, however compasionate leave is not specifically legislated in terms of the basic conditions of employment act. Find out from the company whether they have a different leave section.
