Hypothyroid, but not overweight - is there a natural treatment?
Hi, I've had blood tests and had a very high TSH score of 56. A month later it was 39. I went for an ultrasound and isotope scan, and I have quite a big, "hot", benign nodule on my thyroid. I was on Eltroxin for a month, after which my TSH score was 9. I was on Eltroxin for another 3 months and my score was 59 (last week). Now my GP has upped the strength of the Eltroxin and I go back for another blood test next month. The confusing part is I don't have the classic symptoms of hypothyroidism e.g. I'm 1.74m tall and weigh <55kg, my thyroid is still intact, no personal of family history of thyroid problems. I don't want to be on medication for the rest of my life - are there natural alternatives?
