ALT 49
I am a male of 43.
I recently had liver function test in order to check my suitability for Roaccutane(For Adult Acne) and it came back with an ALT of 49 and an AST of 30.

S-Cholestrol was 5.7 and S-Triglyceride 1.05.

My Doc indicated that the ALT was high and that I should have it re-tested

Is this serious and should I be worried .

I have read on the net that an ALT of up to 60 u/L is not considered necessarily abnormal

I regularly take anti inflammatories/Painkillers (Mybulen) as well as Alzam as I suffer from chronic Prostatitis and Alzam seems to help for pain relief.
Again I have read that these can affect the ALT level.

I have now reduced the Mybulen and am taking Prohep.

Would this help.

Again should I be concerened
