Debbie,

If you are not on any medication for a chronic condition such as hypertention you can try Demazin NS - Its only taken twice daily (morning and evening) and wont make you drowsy during the day. It contains an antihistamine and a decongestant, both items that will assist in treating the runny nose accompanied by a cold. Should you however feel that the runny nose is rather due to an allergy than a cold then a straightforward antihistamine such as ceterizine (allecet, zyrtec, etc) of laratadine (clarityne, lorano, etc) will help.
For the wet cough I like Solphyllex or Expigen - Both potent expectorants with an added bronchodilator.
