sleeples after exercise
hi, i do alot of mountain biking and find that after a long ride i''m very tired, but cannot fall asleep. this carries on until very late in the evening, which i promptly pass out. the next morning would be up early again for another ride in the country, and the sleeplessness repeats itself.

i really want to sleep after a peddle, but cant seem to nodd off! please help.

After that kind of physical exercise, the adrenaline levels are topping out, and that is what keeps you awake. There are various techniques to relax, but the most important thing to do is to have a regular bed-time routine, of about 60 minutes before getting into bed, and, before that, it would be a good idea to do some other hobby-related (non-physical activity) for an hour or two.

Remember, it is really mental activity that requires more sleep to recover, much more so than physical activity.
