achromatopsia and stem cell research
Dear Sir / Madam
My brother and I have Achromatopsia which is a vision impairment where our rods in the eye are damaged and thus only have 25% vision. I was wondering what developments with stem cells to improve this condition have accured?
Thanking you
Veronica

Stem cells can be used to generate cells responsible for vision in the eye (rods and cones). However, this work is still experimental and has not been translated into clinical practice.
