A 8 to 9 year old child should drink a minimum of 750 ml to 1000ml (3 to 4 glasses) of water a day To meet their calcium requirements they need a minimum of 2 dairy portions a day One portion equates to 1 glass milk or 175 ml plain yoghurt or 30 g (match box size) of hard cheese
