Hello There

I started doing yoga classes about a month ago I only do it ones a week, I can go twice if I want but want to know if this would be wise knowing I do dance classes 3 times a week already?

Yoga is just amazing it really helps with my flexibility and strength not just physically but also mentally.

I do feel more in touch with my body after yoga its like my body only wants specific foods and I just feel calm and more relaxed
is this all in my head?
If your very strained and tired is it still a good idea to go to a yoga class ? for it does take a lot of focus and concentration?

Hi Kasandra - well I do think that it is all in your head, the benefits that you get from yoga - but the good thing is that is exactly where you should perceive the benefits!! I find hatha (physical) yoga can be incredibly rejuvenating even when I am tired and run down but on those days I normally choose to take my practice a bit easier and moderate the physical aspect according to how my body feels - concentrating more on breathing or meditation - this awareness of the body is key precept and learning in the practice. Many people practice daily (sometimes taken a days rest in the week or only resting for moon days) and I would encourage you to try two days a week especially since you are clearly experiencing the benefits on a number of levels.
All the best.
