Are your feet a knockout?

Feet smell, because they sweat a lot (they contain more than 600 sweat glands per square centimetre) and the perspiration can’t evaporate inside closed shoes. Warmth and moisture create a perfect incubator for bacteria, which produce fatty acids that can smell strongly. These conditions also make ideal breeding grounds for the bacteria that can cause athlete’s foot.

Take action:
Get rid of all your shoes that have plastic, synthetic or cardboard linings; never wear the same shoes two days in a row; throw away all your nylon socks and buy cotton ones; wash your feet properly at least twice a day and dry them well - especially between the toes; remove hard skin with a pumice stone; soak your feet in warm water with a few drops of tea tree oil in the evenings; get aluminium chloride spray from your doctor, but don't use it if you have athlete's foot or open sores.
