Infant circumcision

Whether for or against, the subject of infant circumcision has people taking up very firm positions on either side of the debate. 

For cultures that practice neonatal (baby) circumcision there is no debate, and current research into specifically HIV/Aids and HPV (Human papillomavirus) transmission seems to show some health benefits. 

However, it must be said that this is a very dangerous procedure if done without proper medical supervision, and between 2009 and 2010 more than 100 deaths as a direct result of botched circumcisions were reported in South Africa.  Read  a Jewish mom’s perspective and then join the circumcision debate.
