I am currently 57 years of age and am experiencing increasing pain in my fingers and knuckle joints. At this point the pad of my hand below my left finger (ring finger) is extremely sensitive and I cannot close this finger fully when making a fist. In the mornings my hands are extermley painful and have semi closed into a half closed position. I find myself massaging my left hand small and ring fingers constantly. My right hand fingers are mainy painfull only in the last metatcarpel joint . Any advid eyou can give me on the root causes of this and what medication I can take to ease the pain and or eradicate the cause would be greatly appreciated.
