Dear Anonymous, lucent lesions of the vertebrae could be the result of trauma (injury) or other causes. To really determine the cause of a particular lucent lesion, and to adequately treat it, is to have an MRI examination by a Radiologist so that a full report can be obtained from the Radiologist. The cause(s) can then most probably be determined and the correct treatment instituted. It is advised that you speak to your treating physician about this and get his/her opinion and possible referral for an MRI or similar examination. (MCH).
