Alzheimers Disease
Plse can you give advice... Our 68 yrs old sister has been diagnosed with Alzheimers & is on medication. We presume it's early stages. She's all alone during the day, is very busy on Facebook & Whatsup even early hours in the morning. She's also still driving lifting friends to the shops etc... She hasn't been told she has this disease? Should she be told & if so who, her Neurologist & GP? Please can you give your honest opinion as we are very concerned about her wellbeing! Thank you

Hi there
Yes, she should be told, but is she completely unaware? I find this hard to believe. Surely she went with to the doctor who diagnosed her, otherwise, how was she diagnosed? If she has not seen a doctor yet, then please take her to one. If she has a partner or family member that she trusts, then they should go with her. She needs to hear it from the doctor (either the neurologist or the GP). Good luck.
