Flu med while pregnant
I drank a lot of flu medication last week unaware I’m 3 weeks pregnant. Cough mixture, Corenza C, dispirin, flustat and throat lozenges to be specific. I am worried, how badly have I hurt the baby?

Dear Anonymous,

I understand that you are worried but there is actually very little reason for concern. The first 8 weeks of pregnancy is pretty much an all or nothing effect. If there’s a problem you will have miscarried and if not then there is an extremely low possibility of any harm being caused to baby.
Please be more careful now that you do know you are pregnant to check with your obstetrician before taking any medication.
