Dear Anonymous,

Nur-isterate is a long acting but reversible injectable contraceptive. It is usually effective for 2 months and is therefore administered every 2 months. If you wish to conceive you need only to wait for it to work it’s way out your system. However resumption of fertility can be delayed after injectable contraceptives for a period of 6 months to a year.

My advice is that you ensure that you are on folic acid and try naturally for at least 6 months failing which you can consult with your Gynaecologist for further work up.
