Hi there
Fever blisters are caused by the Herpes Simplex virus. Once you have the virus, you cannot 'cure' it, but you can keep it under control. Fever blisters usually appear when you are stressed or when your immune system is down. So try and manage your stress levels, and take a good supplement, especially during the winter months. Once you feel the tingling on your lip, before the blister appear, you can use an antiviral ointment, such as acitop, that you can buy at most pharmacies, over the counter. Good luck.
