What does a sinus infection cough sound like?
When my sweet 5' friend Annette came down in 2010 with a severe sinus infection which a nasty chest cold combined with Cupcake's pollen allergy whacked petite Annette hard she suffered a very raspy cough from this sinus infection. Now my 5'7" friend Joan White told me one time coughing is common with sinus infections but this was one of the worst coughs Annette ever battled with colds flu bronchitis or here her sinus infection. Luckily Annette took some cough syrup to calm the sinus infection cough but when she went outside the high crabgrass count (Annette's severely allergic to crabgrass) made her cough sound like a tuberculosis sufferer! It took Annette six weeks to get over her sinus infection but she had a lingering sinus infection cough lingering for about 6 months! What does a sinus infection cough usually sound like? (She took expectorant cough formula (Vicks Formula 44E) by day and Vicks Formula 44D when she went to bed because she told me her sinus infection cough was worst at night.)

Hi Greg
I actually don't know what a specific sinus infection cough sounds like, but it will definitely be worse at night, especially if you lie down and the post nasal drip from the sinus infection drips down your throat and causes you to cough. An expectorant cough syrup should be better than a cough suppressant in this case. Happy new year.
