Military Reserves
Hi Should Military Reserves be offered permanent services contracts after being employed on temporary contracts continuesly for periods longer than five years. These members have been employed continuously without any breaks in service for periods longer than 15 years but are still not being offered permanent service contracts. Great confusion currently exist with regards to this matter. There are currently more than 200 military reserves employed in the SA Army on this basis. Your help is greatly needed in this regard.

re: Military Reserves
Thank you for the query.  The Military sometimes have different types of employment contracts and engagement with permanent services.  One needs to look at the contract carefully beforehand as often the Military don't fall under the same terms and conditions as other employees.  From a moral point of view this doesn't sound correct at all.
