Paternity leave/family responsibility
Good day, me and my partner recently had a baby , unfortunately due to health complications we were in the hospital for almost a week, my partner working for a small workshop that does leather repairs to horse riding equipment, took his 3 days of paternity leave( Is he not entitled to 10 days?) But my actual question is ... if him going with me to register the baby at home affairs, as we want the baby to have his surname, can this qualify as a family responsibility day?
re: Paternity leave / family responsibility
Your partner is entitled to more than 3 days paternity leave, he is entitled to 10 days in terms of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
