Pink-eye blues

Anyone who has suffered from "pink eye" will tell you that it's a force to be reckoned with, and that the itchiness and discomfort is enough to drive you up the wall. Pink eye, or conjunctivitis, is an inflammation of the thin, transparent membrane that covers the surface of the inner eyelid and the front of the eye. What can you do to prevent it?

Take action:
Never share eye make-up, contact lens equipment, -containers and -solutions, towels, linens, pillows or handkerchiefs; wear gloves if you are looking into someone else’s eyes for foreign objects; wear eye protection when you're in the wind, heat and cold; wear safety glasses when you're working with chemicals; keep your hands away from your eyes; wash your hands before and after touching your eyes or face, or using medicine in your eyes.
