All of the Covid-19 vaccines authorised for use globally provide good protection against the most severe effects of the disease, including hospitalisation and death.

But a recently released study provides a rare, direct comparison of four of the most prominent vaccines. According to the findings, the mRNA shots by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna outperformed the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) and Novavax vaccines.
