In many patients, Covid-19 infection is accompanied by some neurological symptoms that could not be explained by health professionals.
These symptoms include confusion, headaches and memory loss, collectively informally known as "brain fog". Brain fog or "Covid brain" often lingers long after the patient is thought to have recovered from the virus and can even lead to seizures.
This knowledge gap led to a collaboration of various experts at MSK (Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre) to conduct a study looking into what triggers the condition in a number of cancer patients infected with Covid-19. Their findings were published in the journal Cancer Cell.
