The results of an updated study, based on 1.4 million people in Israel, showed that the Covid-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer-BioNTech is safe and protects against Covid disease in high-risk groups.

The original study demonstrated the effectiveness of the mRNA jab in the general population, but the researchers noted that outstanding questions remained regarding whether it was effective in specific sub-populations of interest, including the elderly, individuals with multi-morbidities, and those with prevalent chronic conditions.
