Eating disorders are considered among the deadliest mental illnesses, and a wealth of research has shown how the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns have led to a massive impact on human health.
According to a new study, there had been a slight increase, or re-emergence, of six eating behaviours.
They are mindless eating and snacking; increased food consumption; a general decrease in appetite or dietary intake; eating to cope; pandemic-related reductions in dietary intake; and a re-emergence or marked increase in eating disorder symptoms.
