Blisters for Bread 2014

The Peninsula School Feeding Association (PSFA) in association with SPAR has announced that the 47th annual Blisters for Bread Charity Family Fun Walk will take place at Green Point Cricket Club, Cape Town, on Sunday 24th August 2014.

This event, established in 1968 with the main purpose being to raise funds to feed hungry school children, has become one of the major highlights on the Cape Town calendar.

R5000 prize for schools

One of the initiatives for this year’s event is a campaign to encourage schools to mobilise their learners to enter the 5km or 10km walk on the day. The school with the most combined entries will be presented with a R5 000 cash prize as well as the opportunity to select and feed an underprivileged school supported by PSFA and Lucky Star.
The entry fee for Blisters for Bread is R50 which will feed 25 hungry school children for an entire day. Entries are now open and are limited to 12 000 walkers. Enter online or download a copy of the entry form by visiting the PSFA web site. Entry forms can also be collected from the Top Events offices (6th Koeberg Rd, Maitland, Cape Town).

Hospitality packages are still available for schools and corporates. For enquiries, contact Charles Grey at PSFA on 021 447 6020.
