Today we’re focusing on the prevention and early detection of prostate cancer (PC).
The prostate gland lies just under the bladder, and it’s function is to produce fluid which transports sperm cells. Unfortunately it’s one of the parts of a man’s body that is vulnerable to cancer.
You can request a PSA (Prostate-specific antigen) screening. A blood sample is taken to measure the amount of PSA in the blood and this result can be used to help diagnose PC. The PSA blood test screening is something that you should repeat as you get older.
