It’s year three of our popular Rookie Stylist competition in partnership with Mr Price Home – and once again vouchers worth thousands of rands are up for grabs if you share your favourite nooks with us on Instagram. It’s so easy, just do it!
Since we launched the Rookie Stylist competition in 2019, more and more house-proud Home readers and Mr Price Home shoppers have flocked to ‘the Gram’ to share their spaces with us, and last year we received almost 1 700 entries!
It was a delight to see what Home readers are up to, so we’re doing it again. It’s no secret that we’re passionate about all things beautiful and love to celebrate the ways in which South Africans decorate their spaces, as does the team at Mr Price Home.
Every week, one lucky entrant will win a Mr Price Home voucher worth R2 000 (the recipient will be selected by the Home team) and, ultimately, the overall winner and Rookie Stylist for 2021 will receive a R15 000 Mr Price Home voucher to spend on whatever tickles their fancy.
The overall winner will also be chosen by the Home team and, as before, their home will be photographed for publication in an upcoming issue of Home, SA’s best-selling décor and gardening magazine. Come on, show us what you’ve got...
HOW IT WORKS
1. Take a photo of any nook in your home, using your cellphone (take it in natural light for best results). Do a close-up or step back for a wide-angle shot. You could choose a room, a stoep, a focal wall, shelf or bed – anything goes, as long as it’s pretty and styled to your satisfaction.
2. Upload this picture to your Instagram account. If you don’t have an account, create one by downloading the app in the Apple app store or on Google Play
3. Write a short caption; add the hashtags #mrpricehomerookiestylist and #tuishomemag; also tag @mrp_home and @tuishomemag – and off you go!
The competition runs from 26 March to 17 June 2021.
