Women turn the tables on their partners in Will He Say Yes?, which premieres on HONEY, DStv channel 173 on 15 November 2021. The show sees women take the bull by the horns and propose to the men in their lives in a surprise event arranged with the help of hosts Karabo Ntshweng and Pamela Mtanga from South Africa.

Both these media personalities have amassed loyal fan bases, with Ntshweng familiar to audiences from her role as presenter on YoTV and more recently her radio show on 5FM, while Mtanga’s MC skills have garnered considerable social media hype and helped her grow her brand.

They join forces on HONEY TV for the new show format that had social media ablaze when its call-to-entry promo prompted Twitter users to describe the show’s premise as salacious, intriguing, genius and cringeworthy.

“Reality TV is often so heavily orchestrated, from scripting to casting and getting the right people to be on the show,” says Ntshweng. “I think what makes Will He Say Yes? a unique experience is that people will see things exactly as they unfold. These are ordinary women who are madly in love, with their own stories told their own way.”

Mtanga says: “There is a generation of people, in this case women, who are liberated in their thinking and want to challenge the norm especially when it comes to love. This means that the show will trigger conversations that reflect on events occurring within our circles that are considered taboo, and hopefully we will keep an open mind.”

HONEY TV launched in February 2021 and is MultiChoice’s first original pan-African lifestyle channel. Shows like Pastors’ Wives, Nollywood Queens and The Buzz have seen notable ratings across the continent.

Will He Say Yes? premieres on HONEY, DStv 173 on Monday 15 November at 6:30 PM. Follow Karabo and Pamela on Instagram.
