Taking inspiration from the uniquely South African ‘colourful Sunday cooking’ trope, celebrity judges Lillian Dube and Moshe Ndiki go into the heart of South African homes to see families and friends flex their cooking skills to execute the full plate the best way they know how.

Sunday kos comes to HONEY TV when 7 Colours premieres on 17 February 2022 at 4:30 PM on DStv 173. Taking inspiration from the uniquely South African ‘colourful Sunday cooking’ trope, celebrity judges Lillian Dube and Moshe Ndiki go into the heart of South African homes to see families and friends flex their cooking skills to execute the full plate the best way they know how.

“I love going into people’s homes, interacting with them and seeing what their plates look like,” Dube says. “My favourite part about being on set has to be Moshe. We work very well together.”

Dube is a veteran South African actress and one of the most recognizable entertainers across the country. She’s been heralded as one of the last greats having also received the Order of Ikhamanga from President Cyril Ramaphosa in 2018.

“Being part of this show has been absolutely amazing,” says Moshe Ndiki, a comedian who honed his skills on YouTube with creative skits impersonating everyone from Rihanna to your best friend down the street. Ndiki went on to host the popular shows Uyang'thanda Na? and You Promised to Marry Me.

His flair and wit are the perfect complement to Dube’s stellar comedic timing. “Not only am I working with Lillian Dube, but I also experienced meeting the different contestants and all the excitement while shooting,” he says.

7 Colours premieres on the 17th of February on DStv’s HONEY channel at 4:30 PM. Watch the promo here. Follow @honeyafricatv on all their social media platforms here.
