Jako and Anneke Lee of Welgemoed use blue and white in most of their projects – and this bedroom is no exception. “This palette creates an atmosphere of calm, tranquillity and coolness,” says Jako. “We also think it looks clean and tidy, and it has loads of personality!”
The room is spacious with a high ceiling and a super-king-size bed. “Someone once told me that you should choose the biggest elements possible for your bedroom because this creates a sense of luxury,” says Jako. An oversized armchair upholstered in a blue-and-white design enhances the theme and provides comfy seating for putting on shoes or relaxing with a book.
