You will need
* Woodoc Gel Stain Ebony
* Woodoc Water-Borne Matt Sealer
* template (download the template here)
* Priplak
* craft knife
* cutting mat
* masking tape
* repositionable spray adhesive
* sponge roller and tray
* 200-grit sandpaper
Here’s how…
Step 1
Have the floor professionally sanded to get rid of any old varnish.
Step 2
Attach the template to the back of the Priplak with masking tape and carefully cut out the shapes with the craft knife to create your own stencil.
Step 3
Spray adhesive on the back of the stencil and position it in place.
Step 4
Carefully apply stain over the stencil with a sponge roller. Reposition the stencil next to the previous one and apply stain again. Repeat this process until the entire area you want to stencil has been covered. Let the stain dry for 4 hours.
Step 5
Apply the Woodoc Water-Borne Matt Sealer over the entire floor and let it dry completely. Lightly sand with 200-grit sandpaper and then apply a second coat. Repeat for a third coat. Do not sand after the third coat.
