Get started...
Spray the moulds with the food spray and set aside.
Mix the DuraBuild cement: 1 part cement powder to 3 parts building sand. Then add water and combine until the mixture is the consistency of cookie dough.
Fill the moulds with the cement mixture.
Shake the moulds gently to get rid of any air bubbles.
Smooth the surface of the mix with the trowel.
Arrange the glass pebbles into a number on the surface ofthe cement mix. Once you’re happy with the shape, press the pebbles into the mixture – but not too deep. Let the mix dry for 24 hours.
Tip Arrange the numbers on a table first, then transfer the pebbles to the wet mixture.
Remove the stepping stone from the mould and let it dry for another 48 hours before you paint. Repeat steps 1–7 until you have the numbers one to nine on round stepping stones and number 10 on a rectangular stone.
Use a clean dry brush to remove any loose sand from the surface of your stones.
Use a paintbrush and the chalk paint to create different coloured bands around the outer edge of each stone.
