Here's how...
1 Sand the cupboard down to bare wood.
2 Tie the pencil to the string. Hold the end of the string down on the surface of your sideboard with your thumb and use this as a guide to draw a circle with the pencil. Use the other round objects to trace more circles. Let some overlap.
3 Use the artist paintbrush to carefully paint the masking fluid on the outer edge of the circles you’ve drawn. Remember that when you get to any shapes that overlap, you must first paint one and then the other; decide which one to paint first and mask it with the masking fluid. Add 2–3 more coats of masking fluid and let it dry completely. Mask the edges of any drawers and doors with masking tape.
4 Mix each of the Woodoc Colours with about 75ml of Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR in separate containers.
5 Paint each of the circles you’ve masked in a different colour. Remember to always paint with the wood grain. Let it dry and peel the masking fluid off.
6 Mask any remaining circles with masking fluid, and also mask triangular and rectangular shapes with masking tape. Use the carpenter’s square to guide you.
7 Paint these shapes in various colours. Remove the masking.
8 Give it a light sand with fine sandpaper and seal the entire cupboard with 3 coats of Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Clear. Let the sealer dry between coats and also lightly sand between coats. Do not sand after the third coat.
