Keen to be more organised in 2020? Make a hook rack with initials so the whole family is sorted.

You will need

  • laminated pine plank (about 1m x 40cm)
  • hooks
  • alphabet stencil
  • repositionable spray adhesive
  • screwdriver
  • Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Clear Matt
  • Woodoc Colours Full Moon and Red
  • mixing containers
  • small sponge roller and tray
  • paintbrush

Here's how...

1 Mix the Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Clear Matt with the Woodoc Colours Full Moon and whitewash the plank with two coats of this mixture, letting it dry between layers.

2 Mix some Water-Borne FLOOR Clear Matt with Woodoc Colours Red.

3 Measure and mark where you want the initials on the painted pine plank.

4 Apply the spray adhesive to the back of the stencil and position it on the plank.

5 Pour the red Water-Borne FLOOR-mixture onto the tray and roll the stencil over it. Remove the stencil and repeat with the other initials.

6 Measure and mark where the hooks should go. Screw them in place and hang your rack at the entrance of your house to keep things neat and tidy.
