If you love a good all-day-breakfast, make this decadent treat for dinner tonight or save the recipe for an indulgent weekend breakfast. You won't be dissapointed!

Makes: 4 portions

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes

• 4 eggs

• 125 ml milk

• 8 slices French (or any other) bread

• 45 ml chocolate nut spread

• 30 ml butter

BERRY SAUCE

• 250 g mixed berries

• 60 ml castor sugar

• 15 ml fresh lemon juice

1 Beat the eggs and milk together.

2 Spread the chocolate nut spread over four slices of the bread and top with the other four slices. Place the sandwiches in a glass bowl and pour the egg mixture over them. Allow to stand so the egg mixture soaks into the bread, turning to make sure both sides are evenly coated.

3 Prepare the berry sauce Blend half the berries with the sugar and lemon juice into a smooth purée and pour into a glass jug. Stir in the remaining berries and mix through. 4 Heat the butter in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the French bread sandwiches until golden brown on both sides. Serve immediately with berry sauce.
