1 Line a 23 x 23cm pan with baking paper. Place the butter, condensed milk and sugars in a deep microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 2 minutes. (The fudge bubbles up during cooking and if your bowl is too shallow, it will boil over.) Remove from the microwave and stir well.

3 Add the vanilla essence and salt, and beat vigorously for a few minutes with a wooden spoon. This step is important, otherwise the fudge will not set well. The fudge should lose its shine and pull away from the sides of the bowl. Stir half of the chocolate balls into the fudge (be warned, some of them will melt) and keep the rest to sprinkle on top.
