Ingredients
- 4.00 - slices of bread
- 45.00ml - butter
- 4.00 - eggs
- 5.00ml - salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Method
A scrummy breakfast or brunch with a twist.
1. Use a biscuit cutter to make a hole in
the centre of each slice of bread. Heat
the butter in a pan and fry the bread
slices on one side. Turn the bread over
and break an egg into each hole. Cook
over a low heat until the bread is golden
brown underneath. The egg must be soft
but firm enough so that the bread can be
lifted out of the pan. Season with salt and
black pepper.
2. Serve on individual plates with fried banana and honey or a mixture of tomatoes, olives and basil.
