Natale Roelofse of Rawsonville writes I planted daisy lawn in my new garden but soon noticed a problem. It started getting brown spots, clearly due to a fungus – maybe dollar spot? I have tried everything: three different copper sprays, three other fungicides, as well as Mycoguard 720, all without success. What can I do? I’m not keen to take out the grass and replace it with another variety.

JJ replies I would also have thought that Mycoguard would solve the problem. I think it would be best to remove the dead grass in those areas, treat the soil with a solution of Jeyes Fluid (20 ml in 10L water), let it stand for a week or so and then plant new daisy lawn.
