Whether you’re a first-time renovator or a dab hand, this competition is for you. And you stand a chance of winning your share of R100 000!

The ever-popular Fix it with Flair contest is back – with SA’s top domestic water solutions company, JoJo, as the headline sponsor this year. The name JoJo may be synonymous with water tanks for your garden, but they also supply a range of water filters for inside your home so that you can enjoy clean, safe, great-tasting water. When you tackle your next renovation project, remember to JoJo your home!

A highlight on the Home calendar, the exciting Fix it with Flair competition offers readers the opportunity to showcase their own makeover projects.

Check out the three categories below, and once you’ve decided which one best suits your project, submit your pics – and you could be crowned one of our Renovators of the Year for 2021!

The 3 categories...

1. DIY

This one is for avid DIYers who take on 50% of the work themselves. So if knocking down walls or retiling doesn’t scare you, go for it! You’ll have to submit a budget breakdown and show what you did with your own two hands

2. Innovation

If you fancy yourself an out-of-the-box thinker, this category is for you. It could be an eco house, a mobile home, an outdoor kitchen – you name it! Whether you did it yourself or managed the project, feel free to enter your makeover here.

3. Most beautiful

If you’re all thumbs and have a fear of power tools but you oversaw a gorgeous renovation and paid for it, consider this option. Even if a contractor completed 100% of the physical work, you are eligible for this prize.

THE PRIZES

R100 000 in cash is up for grabs: the winner in each category will receive R25 000; the runner-up in each category will receive R5 000. The Top 9contestants each get R1 000. One favourite, based on reader votes, will get R1 000 cash.
