Oven temperature: 180°C

1 Make the apple chutney Place all the ingredients in a small saucepan, heat and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to a boil, then simmer until syrupy. The chutney retains its light colour and is not overly saucy. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. The taste improves if left in the fridge for a day or two.
