Elanza de Waal of Malmesbury writes I have ivy right around the front part of my yard. On one side it is lovely and green but the front part suddenly started to die. Must I remove the whole plant? No new leaves are sprouting and some stems look dead – they break off easily, while others seem to still have life in them and don’t break off.
JJ replies Sometimes ivy gets infected with a fungus that damages the plant. Treat it with Mycoguard, prune off the damaged leaves and feed with 7:1:3 fertiliser. Your ivy will soon grow strongly again.
