BOOK: How to Be Perfect: The Correct Answer to Every Moral Question by Michael Schur. (Quercus)

Hold it right there. If you rushed here to yell at the author of this review regarding the spelling mistake in the headline, I've got two things to say to you. Firstly, that isn't nice. No yelling is needed. Secondly, the author intentionally misspelt the word "too" as a playful quip at humanity's strive for perfection. Sometimes, in striving for perfection, we get a lot of things wrong. (There's your first lesson).

How to Be Perfect is written by Michael Schur, the creator of The Good Place, starring Kristen Bell. In his book, Schur describes the hit TV series as being about a "bad" woman who lived a selfish life and, due to a clerical error, ends up in, well, The Good Place. There, she is surrounded by people who lived really "good" lives – like spending their time removing landmines and eradicating poverty type of good people. Eleanor, played by Bell, freaks out that she will be discovered, so she tries her very best to be a "good" person and ultimately earn her spot in this idyllic place.
